In 1995, Crossroads Symposium was a two week event held in Roscommon Town. Organised by Noel Molloy over a two year period, the symposium hosted 18 local, national and international artists who work in a variety of mediums. The artists were invited to work with local venues, spaces and people within Roscommon town. This engagement with the host community i.e. Roscommon people, heightened awareness that art is accessible to all people in all sections of society.
Various exhibitions, performances, events and discussions were held over the two weeks. Artists included: Carmel Cleary( IRL), Karl Ciesluk (CAN), Frances Crowe (IRL), Brian Conolly (NIR), Micheal Cummins (WAL), Blane de St Croix (US), Honor Fitzgerald(IRL), Anne Rigney (IRL), Bernie Masterson (IRL), Dympna Molloy(IRL), Noel Molloy (IRL), Pauline O Connell (IRL), John Rafferty (WAL), Jurgan Schnieder (GER), Sean Taylor (SCT),Una Walker (NIR), Inken N.
